This article includes the results of ethnic identity empiric research of Yukhagir ethnos’ representatives who live in Nizhnekolimsky district, Republic of Sakha (Yakutiya) (2012). The research has shown that ambivalent type of ethnic identity prevails among tundra yukhagir representatives (combination of positive, indifferent and fanatic identity). All in all a low level of ethnic factors significance in Yukagir’s life is marked. The most important identity for Yukhagirs, in comparison with ethnic and regional identity, is civil (All-Russian) identity.
