THE SELJUK HERITAGE IN THE OTTOMAN MILITARY ORGANIZATIONS

The article analyzes the structure and principles of the Seljuk and Osman states military organizations. The author comes to a conclusion that the Osman state copied and implemented a successful Seljuk's model of military organization for its armed forces and that this fact provided Osman state with military superiority and made possible its expansion in Europe.
