In this study, it’s aimed to determine the situation of environmental engineer candidates to use their environmental information about daily life in their own daily lives. In addition to this, the level of their comprehension and awareness of primary environmental problems that occur in the area of their lives is also searched. The data in the research were collected from questionnaries conducted amoung 39 last year environmental engineering department students in 2008-2009 education year. It was observed for environmental engineer candidates that there was a significant relation between their environmental information knowledge used in daily life and the conversion of this information to positive behaviours. It was seen that they convert their information to environmentally friendly behaviours by associating to their daily lives. It was also determined that the environmental engineer candidates having no information about the subject do not have positive behaviours for the environment. Moreover, it can be mentioned that the engineer candidates are aware of the extent of environmental pollution both in the city and in the country they live and are responsive to the environment within the information they get about it.
