The concept of leadership is of significant importance in today's world. Leadership plays a crucial role in setting, managing, and achieving the goals of a group or organization. In this context, the concept of transformational leadership has been gaining importance in recent years. Transformational leadership is an approach in which a leader supports their followers, helps them unlock their potential, and strives to liberate them. In this leadership approach, the leader understands the needs of their followers, encourages their participation, and inspires them. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is also among the examples of transformational leadership. Ataturk, during the establishment process of the Republic of Turkey, was a leader who brought about significant changes in society. He worked to uncover the potential of the Turkish people and struggled for their emancipation. In this study, leader and leadership theories will be defined using the theories from the literature, and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk will be examined as an example of a transformational leader. Starting from the characteristics that a transformational leader should possess, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is an important leader who exhibited these qualities.
