Communication, which is a way that people, as a social being, first uses to meet their own wants and needs and then to establish their relations with other people, is as old as human history in terms of practice. In addition to the fact that communication dates back to such ancient times, it has also shown a change and development in parallel with technological developments today. As a result of this development, communication has gained a technological dimension and has been intertwined with technological tools. As a result of this relationship, applications such as social media have given another dimension to communication and added value. Today, the majority of official institutions use these social media applications. In this context, the Presidential Communications Directorate, which has a direct “Communication” task, also actively uses the most used and most common social media applications. In this study, due to the importance of social media in corporate communication, the social media accounts of the Presidency of Communications were analyzed by content analysis method and the sharing, likes, followers, etc. on these platforms were examined. Numerical data on the subjects were revealed, the frequency of use of the accounts, the type of content of the shares made, and which social media application was preferred more were determined. In this context, the research questions of the study are; What is the importance of social media in corporate communication? Which social media applications does the Presidency Communications Department use? How often is it shared in the social media applications used by the Presidency of Communications? Which social media application does the Presidency Communications Directorate prefer? What type of content are the social media posts of the Presidency of Communications mostly? answers to the questions were sought.
