The article describes the causes of preservation of the epic traditions in the
regions of Kazakhstan, the history of genre, social conditions defining its origin and
local distinctive features of the basic schools. The main stress is on the two large epic
traditions of Kazakhstan, which are: Kyzylorda's and Mangystau's. The article presents
the similarity of some typological characteristics of epos of different nations that is
taken from analysis of these characteristics.

Makalede Kazakistan'daki epik nitelikli ürünlerin temelleri, kökeni ve yerel ayırt
edici tür özellikleri ve epik geleneklerin muhafazası ele alınarak işlenmektedir. Önemli
ağız özelliği, söyleniş tarzı, Kazakistan'ın, Kızılorda ve Mangıstav bölgelerindeki
destanlarının epik kuruluşu ele alınmıştır. Farklı milletlerin destanlarının bazı tip
özellikleri ile birlikte Kazak destanlarının özellikleri sonuçta analiz edilmiştir.
