ON MEANINGS OF BEAUTY, UGLİNES, WEALTH AND POVERTY IN THE “BEAUTİFUL AND UGLY” TALE

Sevra FIRINCIOĞULLARI

A beautiful and ugly child is a work that gives deep messages on universal values known as classic. The main theme of the work is created within the framework of the dichotomy of beauty and ugliness and richness themes. The beauty of everything that is beautiful can not be measured, the appearance of people more deep, great and great values of the presence of beauty is one of the basic messages contained in the work. Beyond the known meaning of wealth, the spiritual dimension, which includes some values, is also the basic messages that are revealed through the effects of the characters against the interactions of each other. It is underlined that the basic wealth of human beings can be defined by the spiritual values and the basic values that they implement. Through this understanding, the definition of real beauty and ugliness is also revealed. This theme is discussed with the transformative effect of two characters of the work on each other. The main message of the work is given in this context. The values of beauty and the real wealth can arise with the rise of spirituality within the human. The search for beauty and wealth other than that is itself a fake, temporary and empty search for reality. It is emphasized that the original definition of poverty is to complete the life pursued by these empty and false values, and therefore the person with the real wealth and beauty who is oriented towards living with real human values. This emphasis is symbolically transformed through the transformation of the wicked prince who turned into a monster to be able to see the true love and turn it into an old being after finding the person inside.
