Training and development activities are one of the most basic human resources operations. Being able to adapt to technological development that are now in a dizzying state seems possible with training and development activities. Organization’s ability to remain dynamic in the upcoming period, where inevitable transformations will begin to take place, will depend on the ability to adapt to the changing new era. This adaptation can be achieved in proportion to the knowledge and skills of the employees. It is no doubt that the challenges will be get through by increasing the knowledge and the skills of the employees with training and development activities. It is possible to adapt human resources to change, to increase their knowledge and skills and to keep them up-to-date only through training and development practices. Training and development practices are highly influenced by technological developments. Two important dimensions of technological developments come to the fore. First; Thanks to information technologies, education and development practices have surpassed the school walls; Every moment, everywhere, training has become feasible. The second is; access to information has become easier, the speed of change of information has increased inexorably and the content of the information transferred has become quite rich. On the other hand, the digital divide between the ones who have computer facilities and those who do not, turns out to be another dimension in the education and development process. This problem; it is seen as a digital divide between those who have educational technologies and those who have not. This is one of the basic educational problems facing individuals, organizations and countries. This study was conducted by literature review. As a result;With the industry 4.0 process, it is estimated that, new professions will emerge, some professions will disappear like in the previous industrial revolutions, when the next term is being analyze well training and development activities will incraese importance.
