This is an internationally refereed social science journal that is published every three months (quarterly) in electronic-based and print-based since 2009. The journal publishes four issues each year (March, June, September, and December).

The publication language of this journal is Turkish, English, or Russian.

This is an open-access journal. Therefore, all issues and articles published so far can be accessed free of charge from the journal's website.

 

A FEMALE AUTHOR AND POET OF MACEDONIAN TURKISH LITERATURE: CEVAHIR SELIM

There are only a few female authors and poets in Macedonian Turkish Literature. One of the first female autors and poets of Modern Macedonian Turkish Literature is Cevahir Selim. She is an author and poet and a pedagogue who lived between 1927- 1944 in Skopje. She is also one of the first female teachers of Tefeyyuz Elementary School, which began to teach in Turkish in 1944. Besides, she is one of the first female announcers of Turkish broadcast in Radio of Skopje. She is also one of the women who took a part in the foundation of ―YeniYol‖ (The New Road) Culture and Fine Arts Association which played a very important role in the cultural life of Turks in Macedonia during the Yugoslavian period. In other words, she is one of the firsts in Macedonia. She was a teacher who educated seven generations in Tefeyyuz. Some of her students have voice in lots of the matters in Macedonia. Her stories and poems were published in the newspaper Birlik ,the magazines Sevinç, Tomurcuk,Sesler in Macedonia; the newspaper Tan and the children magazine KuĢ in Kosovo. Even after her passing away, newspapers and magazines continued publishing her works, yet a collection of her works is still not published. In this work; her life, art and works will be examined.
