The Greek-Georgian relations count millennia of existence and as a result of it there are many Greek loanwords found in Kartvelian languages, which echo so called common Hellenistic-Colchic civilization. Together with Georgian language, Mengrelian was studied not only by the Georgian but also with the famous foreign scientists. The study of Mengrelian, the language with no script is actively carried out in the modern Georgia, in comparison with the soviet period. The article deals with the analysis of 30 lexical units (such as: angilozi, boria, gegenia, diakoni, ekenia, purne, as well as names of fish etc.) with the Greek origin that were found by us in various Mengrelian texts.

Key Words: Greek, Mengrelian, Georgian, Lazish and Turkish languages.
