The article considers the preconditions of occurrence and the role of folklore in development of the Tatar children’s literature of XX century. There is an imperative need of studying of a condition of the Tatar children’s literature: and it was caused with an urgency of this problem. The purpose of research consists of the analyzing the roots and sources of the Tatar children’s literature, in definition of a role of socio-historical factors during transformation of this literature into an independent area of verbal art. In objective scientific estimations of the way passed by the children’s literature, in revealing factors promoting the further development, in the analysis of ways and forms of transition in the children’s literature of some qualities inherent in the folklore.
