A COMPARATİVE STUDY ON YDS (2013), KPDS (2012) AND ÜDS (2012) СОПОСТАВЛЕНИЕ ЭКЗАМЕНОВ ПО ИНОСТРАННОМУ ЯЗЫКУ(ЭИЯ)

In our country, proficiency exams have been used for various purposes, and different exams have been applied depending on these purposes. Up to 2012, ÜDS exams, in the fields of Science, Social Sciences and Medicine, the content of which change according to its field were applied for academic purposes. KPDS exams were also applied for fringe benefits for state workers along with the purposes of ÜDS. However, in 2013, a new exam called YDS was launched, covering all the previous exams regardless of any specific purpose. In this study, ÜDS (Social Sciences) and KPDS exams that were held in 2012 are compared with the first YDS exam held in 2013. The comparison is made according to the difficulty degrees of the exams in terms of quantitative data as well as qualitative values of the questions with an insight into their sytantic structures and meaning.
